FAQs
Let’s get the business out of the way before we get into the good stuff. Here is my official “disclaimer”:
I in no way claim to be all knowing or an expert on the questions to follow. I will give you my perspective and knowledge based on the personal experiences I have had in communications with Spirit. I make no attempts to convince you that my explanations are the only possibility, but rather one of them. Please take what you need and leave the rest behind.
Over the years, I have been asked a lot of questions regarding psychic mediumship work that I do. I’ve jotted the questions down on various pieces of paper and kept them in a folder, knowing one day I would answer them. It seems now is that time. The intent of this FAQ page is to share how I see things in reference to those questions. I’ll be honest with you, I have either purchased or been gifted with many books written by internationally known psychics and mediums. I have yet to read any from cover to cover. While skimming through a few of the books, I started to compare myself to these seasoned and gifted authors and began to see the differences in how we do and see things. Call it what you want, but I want to stay true to myself and not follow the techniques or beliefs of anyone else, so I tucked them away on my shelf (the books, not the authors). I have since learned that there is no one way in doing or seeing anything.
I will refer to anyone who does readings, whether it be psychic, mediumship, trance, tarot, runes or whatever as a READER.
FAQs
Whats the difference in receiving information psychically or through mediumship?
When I receive information psychically, there is no specific, identifiable source. If I were to ask you when your birthday was, you would just know it. Psychic information is like that- its just there in your thought. With mediumship, there is communication with an entity, one who usually makes their identity known.
Are all psychics mediums?
No. A psychic receives information from an inanimate object such as cards, runes, intuition or an unidentifiable source versus a medium who connects with an entity. An entity could be defined as a source of energy with a consciousness, intelligence and purpose, something that has “lived” on one realm or another.
Are all mediums psychic?
Yes. A medium can receive information from a specific entity as well as from other sources and divination tools.
When the word Spirit is referred to, what does that mean?
That would refer to an entity that is not living on the earth plane as a human being. Its actually a rather general term that can include guides, angels, and the deceased, both human and animal.
Am I going to know who the Spirit is that you connect with in the reading?
Most likely but not definitely. Some connections are very specific while others are not. Keep in mind that some may have limited knowledge of our family tree and those connected to it. Many clients tend to think that we can only connect with family members that were close or that we knew of. Not so. Think outside of the box with this. You are connected with so very many “people” who may have had a minimal physical or emotional relationship to you but on the spiritual level, served a great, unseen purpose to you or someone close to you. They will come through with information about their lives or physical attributes but no name. An example: an older woman came into a reading, I saw her wearing a “doilie” on her head (which I explained to my client was symbolic of a religious person. As a child attending Catholic services, I observed that quite often women and girls wore these delicate lace pieces on their head instead of a hat so the doilies became a symbol to me of church/religion ) She also appeared wearing a string of pearls around her neck. I felt her to be connected to the client’s mother. She seemed to know a lot about my client but my client was clueless as to who she may have been. When the client shared the reading with her mother, the mother explained that her sister-in-law, who had passed over, was very active in the church and had given a string of pearls to her (the clients mother) who was to pass on to her daughter (my client) at the appropriate time in her life. My client had no knowledge that these antique pearls were to be gifted to her because her mother never told her. This is what I share with every client, as I feel it to be the 1st understanding to have: It is the message and not the messenger that we should focus on.
I have someone specific I want to connect with. What can I do to increase my chances?
First, I have to say thanks for understanding that there is never a guarantee as whom I may connect with. We don’t control their realm, and they don’t control ours. This is the 2nd most important understanding to have. I have to be honest here. I have had clients who have come to me with duffle bags filled with possessions of their loved one, jewelry they owned, framed pictures of them, etc, and there has not been a connection made to that specific person. On the other hand, I have had clients come to me, with a deep need to connect with a specific person carrying no possessions of theirs and had that spirit instantly come through. I find that the only time a possession is beneficial, is to get information on whomever it is connected to (passed or living) versus using it as a way to connect with them. I would use the technique of Psychometry on a possession to get information.
I have yet to see evidence that steadfast prayer, possession of belongings or any other method will increase the chances of a specific connection. However, I would have to consider myself to be closed minded to close off the possibility that these intentions may make a difference. My suggestion is to make a gentle communication with your loved one, in what ever way is comfortable for you, and then release your expectation.
Do you think it’s possible that you read minds instead of actually connecting with someone who has died? That you are tapping into the knowledge or memories of a client and not some other source?
If I were to deny all possibilities, then I would not be walking my talk. Is it possible that I am picking up information in my clients mind? Sure. Could that “psychic” information about something be coming from the clients mind and not originate from somewhere else? Sure. That would not explain connecting with spirit in which the client cannot consciously identify during the reading, but can after sharing the information with someone else. One explanation may be that the client, as a young child, could subliminally have overheard a conversation in which a persons name was mentioned that came into the reading. Okay, maybe that may be a possibility but would certainly be the exception and not the rule. As a child, how many names of people can you remember that may have been brought up in a conversation that was not directed to you? I would guess very few, if any. An example: A spirit comes into a reading and provides information beneficial to the clients spouse regarding his job. The spirit is clearly presenting information about something that he personally carried in his pocket and a mannerism that he had with his nose while he was alive in his physical body. My client, not knowing who this spirit was, shared the information with her spouse after the reading. The clients spouse shared that at his job, there had been a fellow employee who had been there only a week before dying of a heart attack. The client’s spouse didn’t work directly with this man but knew of him because they had lunch at the same time in the same small lunch room. The thing in his pocket was a sobriety medallion he carried with him at all times and would flip into the air and catch it. The mannerism with his nose was that he was-a snorter. A loud one at that. My client stressed in the email she sent to me that her husband had never talked of this man, who was there merely one week at the same job location. Why would he come into her reading? She didn’t even know he ever existed! Once again, think outside of the box. This spirit was connected to the clients spouse for a brief period of time and saw the opportunity to come through the reading to provide valuable information.
What is psychometry?
A form of clairvoyance in which an object is held or touched and information about the owner or the history of the item comes through.
How do you know what’s being told to you, whether it be through psychic means or mediumship?
I receive the information in a variety of ways. I may hear a voice. Its not clear, like 2 people sitting next to each other talking, but more like 2 people sitting underneath the water and talking to each other. They may create a picture in my mind, (a baby chick means springtime to me as a connection to Easter) they will show me a “film clip” of a movie or commercial that means something to me, they will bring a fragrance (or actual stink) into the room, like lilacs or Old Spice cologne. It’s up to me or any reader, to interpret, to the best of our abilities, all the information. I can recall a question being asked of me by a client who wanted guidance on which of two homes to put an offer to buy on. Spirit responded by showing me strawberries. I had no idea what this meant but the client knew exactly what it meant. One of the places she was interested in buying was in a condo complex named Strawberry Fields.
If you happen to have a spirit use voice with you, what happens if they “speak” a foreign language?
It’s common to connect with those who have spoken a language I can’t understand. Keep in mind, spoken language is something we humans do. Spirit doesn’t have mouths to project sound or ears in which to hear so they don’t really need to speak, per se. If I connect with someone who talked only German, of which I don’t understand, it will be interpreted for me as will Swahili, Arabic and Hungarian to name a few!
Are some people harder to get information for than others?
Yes! I may have information flow steadily for some clients but slow for others. I have seen no common denominator in the ‘hard reads” as compared to the “easy reads”. It’s kind of like being able to see during an evening when there is a full moon and clear skies shining upon you as compared to an evening with rain drizzle and lots of fog. I don’t control the weather but will do my best to navigate in it.
What do you consider to be a guide?
A guide can be a loved one who has passed, or a human being who has been connected to you from a past life or an entity who has not ever walked the earth but is connected to a piece of you that is energy. A guide can be Great Aunt Ethel or Jesus. Whatever form they take, it is of their free will that they chose to guide you in your life, whether for a moment or a lifetime.
How can someone outside of ourselves guide us? Do they tell us what to do or can they make us do things?
A guide can present information into your auric field that will then filter into your own thoughts, at which time you will decide whether to act upon them. Sometimes we pat ourselves on the back for having a great idea when in fact, it’s not really our own! They can also provide those little signs that re-direct us in decisions we may be thinking of. It is common for guides of separate people to work with each other. I have seen numerous examples of how my guides have worked with the guides of those that became students or clients. A guide cannot and will not interfere with your free will. (it kind of reminds me of the prime directive in Star Trek)
What does it mean to be in a trance when doing a reading?
A trance is a level of conscious awareness. Trance work is when you would be in an altered state of mind. Some readers automatically go into a trance state because it is the more natural state for them in which to receive information beyond the 5 senses. Trance state does not usually allow you to have eyes wide open and full conscious awareness of your surroundings. You would be highly focused on connecting with your source of information. Personally speaking, I go into trance state when I channel or do past life readings. During a trance, the reader is not really running the show but is the mechanism that allows the show to go on.
What is a channeling versus a reading?
You receive life guidance during both but a channeling is when a specific entity speaks THROUGH you, not TO you. Mannerisms and body language may change, your voice may take on another tone, you refer to yourself in the 3rd person.
Do you channel and if so who?
Yes, but this is not offered as a standard reading. I channel, in a deep trance state, what I call The Panel. I have a guide whose name is Vassilous and he connects me with the entities on The Panel. I can’t channel without his assistance. The Panel consists of 4-7 entities that are not of the earth plane. The information they provide is not usually concerning simple earthly concerns such as whether to sell your home or leave your job. They would address something more along the lines of other realms of existence or what you may be doing when you astrally travel during your dream state.. Its for the highly open minded person who desires knowledge about metaphysical thoughts.
Do people that commit suicide go to hell?
First of all, I don’t believe in any location that could be called HELL. Same with HEAVEN. I believe them to be a state of consciousness rather than a location. I have connected with Spirit who have been responsible for their passing, whether it be something as focused as hanging themselves or taking an overdose that they didn’t think would go that far. And I have seen them in different states of well being because of this. Some would not “show” a part of their body because they are still attached to their physical and that body part was traumatized. Others, would feel very heavy to me because they are not ready to ascend, in other words, to fully move into their state of spiritual energy. They have not fully come to terms with their choice that resulted in their physical death and its felt energetically as weight. They can feel very traumatized and be experiencing emotions such as regret and loss. This to me, would be the closest thing to hell.
On the other hand, I can recall a suicide who was a delight during the reading. Very upbeat, extremely happy to be out her physical form and by all appearances, quite busy on the other side. She had lots of white light around her which is a testament of how high her frequency was. As strange as it may sound, her souls agenda, in regards to how she would pass, was that it would be at her own hands. This was not so much for her own sake but rather for certain close individuals that would significantly evolve due to her passing. So no wonder she was doing so well. It went as was desired. She was in Heaven! Suggestion: Rent or buy the movie “What Dreams May Come” starring Robin Williams. It is the most accurate interpretation I have yet to see of how we create heaven or hell.
I was told by another psychic that my grandfather had reincarnated as my son. What are your thoughts on that?
Regarding a grandfather re-incarnating as his great grandson - not impossible but I think highly unlikely. The reasons being that the Soul reincarnates to experience All That Is and to come to a realization of our true spiritual origin. In order to do that, variety must be chosen. Lives in various locations and countries, different ethnic background, different genders and social status, religious beliefs, to name a few. If we incarnate into the same family, that is very limiting. We would be back into the same ethnic background, probably same geographical location, same family tree, similar gene pool. That doesn’t sound like a change. But, I acknowledge that it is done, from time to time. It’s the exception, not the rule.
Do you believe in fate, that our destinies are pre-written?
Great question. I think I will close on this one. To quote Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations with God books, fates definition is From All Thoughts Everywhere. In other words, our realities are not just “God’s will” or our own desires, but rather created from the consciousness of all those around us. I do believe that our Soul has chosen to incarnate into a specific body, time and place, because those things will provide the most opportunity for what it desires to achieve in each life time. There is knowledge of what is PROBABLE to happen but not definite. I also feel that we do in fact have an agenda but that we can change it daily, because we were given free will, on all levels of our beingness. I believe that God is a co-creator of my life. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
