      Today I am living a life that in my wildest dreams never thought was possible. I am going to back up a bit and tell you why this is so. For twenty years I chose to experience a world of alcohol and drug addiction. During that time, I suffered deeply and at times had become homeless, suicidal, angry, and violent. My outlook on life was very grim and I truly believed my 40^th birthday would never come. Then, during my darkest of times, I saw a glimmer of light that came in the form of life changing choices. As fate would have it, in walks Deb to the story that is my life. I chose to take a path of recovery and struggled with sobriety for many years until one day a book called “Conversations with God” was set down on a table in front of me. I picked up the book and casually thumbed through it. My spiritual journey began at that moment!

      Deb and I facilitated study groups on the CWG books for many years, enhancing our spiritual journey as we went along. During that time I was introduced to energy healing and have since become a Reiki master, Reconnection® and Quantum Touch practitioner. My intention was to become a healer, not knowing at the time that the most miraculous healing I would witness would be my own!

      Over the years as my personal journey has continued, I’ve read many different authors’ perceptions on enlightenment and spirituality, absorbing the concepts that resonated the most with me. The author/spiritual teacher who has had the most impact on me is Eckart Tolle. I have read his first book, “The Power of Now” many times, leading to powerful transformations in my life. His latest book, “A New Earth”, is also having a huge effect on me, as well as raising the consciousness of the planet.

      I have learned, simply put, that life is your perception of it. I have an open mind today and continue to work on my spiritual growth so I may keep living this life that truly amazes me. Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes!
